Actual Draft Board | Draft Night Photos

Draft Notes:

  1. Someone noted after 2 rounds that Fred had 2 Johnson’s. Pat says, “I’d like to see that.”
  2. The first of many ABC awards does to Danny Welan, who tried to select both Greg Jennings AND Dallas Clark in Round 5 (Jennings went in Round 2, and Clark only 2 picks before Danny’s).
  3. John follows in Round 7 with ABC #2 of Miles Austin (selected by Gex in Round 3). Oh, no, actually it was Austin Collie he wanted, yeah, that’s it. Nice save there, buddy.
  4. Rattled by his 8th Round pick of a 4th Running Back (Jonathan Stewart), Jim Kelley follows it up with ABC #3 in Round 9 (Eagles). He saves his reputation by dropping the concept of “wet heat.”
  5. Annoyed by the others’ feeble attempts, Danny wraps up the 2011 ABC award by going for ABC #4 in Round 10. Eli may have gone before Peyton in the draft, but surely there must be something he can do with the elder Manning by picking him up in the later rounds. Just don’t call Ken “Shirley” for taking him in Round 4.
  6. Pat likes Sims-Walker but had to forfeit his pick after taking him as a 4th WR in Round 11. John almost ABC #5’s with Manningham as his last pick of the draft (Pat got him in Round 9). So, basically, Pat works an impromptu trade, suggesting he’d give Manningham to John if he drafts Sims-Walker. John agrees, but reneges on the trade. Any takers on who’s gonna make out better in this one? My money is on Mr. Irrelevant, Ryan Gramatica Longwell.
